What Do You Really Get When You Buy A Star?
Are you looking for that one special present for the person who appears to have everything? Does someone that you love have a birthday coming up soon? Why not consider buying them their very own star to commemorate the special occasion? Before you decide to make an investment in the seemingly perfect gift, there are a few things that should be taken into consideration first.

Cool Deep Space Telescopes images
A few nice deep space telescopes images I found:

The Hubble Space Telescope imaged a tiny area of space, equivalent to looking through an eight-foot-long soda straw. It found 10,000 galaxies in this narrow field.

Astronomy Laser Pointers - Green Laser Pointers for Astronomy

Astronomy Laser Pointers - Green Laser Pointers for Astronomy
High power green laser pointers are becoming more and more popular for use in astronomy. Whether you are star-gazing with your astronomy club buddies or conducting an astronomy lecture outdoors, there is nothing more frustrating than unsuccessfully trying to identifying a star or constellation in the sky. Before portable lasers were available, the only ways were to either point to it with your index finger

Why do virtually all the galaxies in the universe appear to be moving away from our own?
by mike.in.ny
Question by v3nome: Why do virtually all the galaxies in the universe appear to be moving away from our own?
Because we are located near where the Big Bang happened.
Because we are located near the center of the universe.
Observers in all galaxies observe a similar phenomenon because of the universe's expansion.
Best answer:

all but the near-by galaxies.

no, no and what Observers? if you mean hypothetical observers then yes.

What's a good stargazing present? Or at least a good place to shop for one?
Question by StormKnight: What's a good stargazing present? Or at least a good place to shop for one?
I'm looking to buy a Christmas present for someone interested in stargazing/astronomy. They already have a good telescope (a computer guided one).
Does anyone know of good accessories? Useful extras? Really good books or computer programs on the topic? Or even just good stores to shop at for stargazing/astronomy products?
Thanks!
