Question by GaryB: What is the meaning of "naked eye" astronomical observation?
A friend of mine travels to an observatory to look through their telescope and calls it "naked eye" observation. I expressed my belief that such observation is done lying on one's back in a meadow, not with a telescope. He says that "naked eye" just means without a camera. He's the astronomer but I still think I'm right.
